Dell XPS 14 (2026)

About Dell XPS 14 (2026)

The Dell XPS 14 (2026) is the return of the XPS name after Dell retired it in 2025. Announced at CES on January 6, 2026, it pairs Intel’s newest Core Ultra processors with a 14-inch screen in a CNC aluminum body that weighs about 3 lb (1.36 kg).

Display and design

There are two screen choices. The standard option is a non-touch 14-inch 1920 x 1200 panel with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness. The upgrade is a 2.8K (2880 x 1800) tandem OLED touchscreen with Dolby Vision and a 120Hz refresh rate. The chassis is just 14.6 mm thick on the OLED model and uses a Gorilla Glass 3 palm rest. Dell has also dropped the capacitive touch bar in favor of a full physical function row, and the haptic touchpad now has etched edge lines so you can feel where it ends.

Performance and software

Entry configurations use 8-core Intel Core Ultra 5 325 or Ultra 7 355 chips with 16GB of RAM. Higher models step up to the 16-core Core Ultra X7 358H or X9 388H with 32GB or 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 4TB of PCIe storage. Graphics are handled by Intel Arc integrated graphics only, as there is no discrete GPU option. In TechRadar’s testing, the Core Ultra X7 358H model scored 2,867 in Geekbench 6.5 single-core and 16,927 multi-core, and ran Cyberpunk 2077 at around 30fps with ray tracing at native resolution. It ships with Windows 11 Home as a Copilot+ PC, with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.

Camera and audio

The webcam is an 8MP unit in a thinner module, and the quad-speaker system delivers 10W of output through hidden grilles.

Battery and charging

A 70Wh battery powers the laptop. TechRadar measured 12 hours 19 minutes of web browsing on the OLED model. Charging is done over USB-C. The laptop has three Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack, but no HDMI port or SD card reader.

Price

At the time of writing, Dell lists the XPS 14 from $1,699.99 in the US, with configurations going up to about $3,149.99. Launch coverage quoted a higher starting price of $2,049.99, so check Dell for current pricing in your region.

Is the Dell XPS 14 (2026) worth buying?

If you want a premium, light Windows laptop with an excellent OLED option and strong everyday performance, the XPS 14 is one of the best choices right now. The trade-offs are only three USB-C ports, integrated graphics only, and battery life that trails the latest MacBook Pro 14-inch in TechRadar’s testing. Windows users will be very happy, but it is unlikely to win over Mac fans.
